ConPro Contracting Ltd., is looking to hire a Construction Estimator who would be responsible for sourcing and targeting a variety of projects and providing accurate and effective estimates, where applicable. The successful candidate will have experience in the construction industry and be able to assess project plans, materials, labour costs, and other related expenses. The Estimator will be responsible for ensuring that all estimates are accurate and complete, as well as providing timely updates to department managers. We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision and willing to be a part of a successful team. Responsibilities Analyzing drawings, prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment Establish and maintain tendering processes Set Up cost monitoring, reporting systems and procedures Establish and maintain tendering processes Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors Manage and co-ordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules Prepare estimates for construction projects Attend walk throughs and site meetings to determine project scope Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments and/or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors Review material and labour requirements to decide on the most cost-effective solution· Develop a project plan and timeline for completion of the project Resolve conflicts, utilize astute problem solving, skills and conflict resolution/mediation if required Performing additional responsibilities as assigned Desired Skills: 4-5 years experience of construction estimating experience Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, efficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of standard Microsoft Office Suite software Experience with Estimating Software an asset Accountable problem solver with the ability to oversee projects Ability to set high expectations with a strong work ethic Must be coachable, teachable, and adaptable Job Type: Full-time Wage: $75,000-$100,000 Competitive wages based on experience and will have opportunity to grow with our company Schedule: · Availability Monday-Friday Please email your cover letter and resume with ?Construction Estimator? in the subject line, to ashley@jbcorp.ca by June 1, 2024 Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year Flexible language requirement: * English not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Experience: * construction estimating: 5 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationExeter, ON
