<p><p> <p>POSTED: October 29, 2024 <p>CLOSING DATE: 1:00pm, November 5, 2024 <p>COMPETITION # 2024-115 <p> <p> <p>INTERMEDIATE TEACHER <p>Part-time (0.6 FTE) temporary position<p>Irwin Park Elementary School<p>Effective immediately until the return of the teacher<p> <p>The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from approximately $50,000 to $109,000, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE. <p> <p> <p>Required Qualifications and Experience <p> <p>This position replaces a teacher on a leave of absence. Successful applicants for this position will demonstrate the following: <p> <p><p> Recent successful teaching experience at the intermediate level <p> A clear understanding of the characteristics of intermediate students and the ability to develop a positive learning environment addressing the intellectual, physical, social and emotional needs of this age group <p> Demonstrated ability to create and maintaining a well-managed positive and productive classroom environment <p> Strong communication skills and experience in using various tools and strategies to maintain a home school connection and provide opportunities to classroom parent community to support classroom goals and topics of study at home <p> Demonstrated ability to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners, including ELL and students with special and behavioural needs <p> Ability to carry out a variety of formative and summative assessments to guide classroom instruction <p> Knowledge and proven experience in the integration of technology into teaching and learning <p> Ability to work collegially, cooperatively and effectively with colleagues and parents <p><p> <p> <p>We thank all interested applicants; however, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.<p> <p>Successful applicants not currently employed by West Vancouver Schools are required to sign a ?consent for Criminal Record Search? to permit a criminal record review. <p> <p> <p> <p> <p> <p> <p>- LocationWest Vancouver, BC
