*What we are looking for:*
BC Building Science seeks a Junior to Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our successful team. The main role involves commissioning of building systems during design and construction phases, energy audit / modelling, and condition assessment of building mechanical & electrical systems. The successful candidate will be working with a team of mechanical engineers supervised by a professional engineer.
*What we expect from you:*
§ Minimum a bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering.
§ Minimum one-year of building design / construction experience focused on HVAC systems.
§ Field experience with building mechanical systems reviews (e.g. energy audit / field review / commissioning of HVAC).
§ Good understanding of local building codes, construction methods / materials, and detailed drawings.
§ Excellent communication skills with fluent English ? written and oral.
*What you are going to do:*
§ Review building drawings / specifications and coordinate project requirements with the design engineers and contractors from a commissioning perspective.
§ Review details of construction work by contractors and perform test & verification of building systems at the end of construction.
§ Perform energy audit, assess condition of building mechanical & electrical systems, develop energy models, and prepare technical reports.
