At this time, Shxwhá:y Nation is actively seeking the addition of a Project Manager who possesses excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to join their team to oversee the day-to-day work on interconnecting environmental infrastructure projects for the community, including a new dyke, salmon habitat and river restoration project. If you?re passionate about problem-solving in a fast-paced environment and have a proven ability to manage interconnected environmental projects involving multiple stakeholders, we want to hear from you!
*Position Overview ? A day could involve tasks, such as:*
· Developing comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, budgets, resources, and dependencies
· Supervision of project staff and overseeing contractual arrangements
· Ensuring alignment across all interconnected projects
· Allocating resources effectively across multiple projects, balancing competing priorities to optimize productivity and meet deadlines
· Maintaining an inventory of project equipment and supplies and resources and develop protocols of maintenance and use
· Assisting with funding proposals that sustain and support initiatives of Shxwha:y Village
· Identifying potential risks across interconnected projects and develop mitigation strategies to address issues proactively
· Track project progress against milestones, budgets, and timelines
· Managing grant reporting processes
· Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including executive summaries and detailed status reports
· Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, while minimizing impact and maintaining project momentum
· Evaluate project outcomes to identify areas for improvement

*Qualifications:*
· Bachelor?s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field (PMP or other relevant certifications preferred)
· 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably overseeing multiple interconnected projects
· Knowledge of federal, provincial and local management of fisheries and aquatic habitats
· Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, including experience working with consultants, government agencies and non-governmental organizations
· Demonstrated understanding of key interests in salmon for First Nations and the ability to develop innovative and effective approaches to bring awareness of all salmon life cycles to the broader community
· Valid BC Driver?s License with access to transportation to attend field work, site visits, meeting and engagements
· Ability to successfully pass a Criminal Record Check
