JOB PURPOSEThe Clinical Resource Pharmacist is responsible for providing leadership to ensure safe use and effective management of medications for a specific clinical program.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Registered or eligible for licensure with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and licensed to practice in New Brunswick. Completion of an advanced clinical pharmacy practice program or degree or equivalent experience.Ability to attend work on a regular basis.Ability to perform the duties of the position.Good work record.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Clinical Resource Pharmacist is responsible for:Providing advanced clinical servicesTaking a leadership role regarding drug use and clinical practiceLeading and participating in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, projects and research activitiesProviding mentoring, training and educationActing as a preceptorDevelop, implement, evaluate and enhance the pharmacy service, education program and research initiatives. Establish and implement standards for staff performance and development.Serving as site coordinator for the region residency program (if applicable).Employees are responsible to be aware of and understand Horizon's Terms of Employment COMPETENCIESDomains and standards identified by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA), 2022.
