Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Work setting: Custom machine shop. Tasks: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Equipment and machinery experience: Electrical discharge machine (EDM). Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
