The Near North District School Board invites applications for a Home Instruction Teacher commencing immediately.<p> Position :<p><p> Home Instruction Teacher<p> Despite the title, this position does not occur in home settings but rather in public spaces such as libraries, the YMCA, or schools.<p><p>Location and Schedule: <p><p> Approximately 5 hours/week.<p> Both in-person and virtual opportunities available.<p> Hours can be during the day, as well as after-school hours, depending on the teacher's preference and the student's needs. <p> All regions in the board.<p><p>Required Teaching Qualifications: <p><p> A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate<p> A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers<p> Primary and Junior and/or Intermediate and Senior Qualifications<p> Special Education Specialist and/or Special Education part 1 or 2 are considered assets<p><p><p>Position Criteria: <p><p> Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents<p> Program planning and delivery will include functional literacy and numeracy skills, communication, social skill development and daily living skills.<p> Experience working with diverse learner profiles would be considered an asset.<p><p> <p>Interested Candidates: Please apply using ApplytoEducation by clicking the Apply Online button below.
