<p>Merchandising Associates (MEAs) merchandise and maintain various product sets in The Home Depot retail environment to enhance the customer experience, increase sales and maximize inventory turns.<br><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p>Merchandising: General Service, Tasking, Packdown, and Projects</p><ul><li>Read and interpret directions to ensure merchandise is set to the planogram, project instructions, program service requirements and general service guidelines</li><li>Straighten, clean and merchandise product to ensure merchandise is presented in a visually appealing manner</li><li>Maintain copy of most recent planogram inside upright beam adjacent to product set</li><li>Build displays and fixtures using basic hand tools</li><li>Maintain, order, and install display material/signage/brochures</li><li>Follow directions and processes to conduct accurate price and label changes. Replace incorrect, damaged, or missing price labels.</li><li>Maintain aisle</li><li>Utilize store systems to access key merchandising reports. Read, interpret, and execute action based on findings.</li><li>Maintain bay service records and other documentation as directed.</li><li>Execute one off projects as required by store, district, and regional leadership.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Customer Service</b></p><ul><li>Maintain aisle cleanliness so that merchandise is accessible and customers are able to move throughout the aisles easily</li><li>Partner with store leadership to markdown all damaged or un-sellable merchandise</li><li>Answer questions regarding the store and products for the customers.</li><li>Partner with store associates to find necessary products to fit the customer's needs.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Other</b></p><ul><li>Partner with store representative to conduct inspections of returned and damaged items for Return to Vendor.</li><li>Follow standard operating and safety procedures.</li><li>Complete assigned training curriculum</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Competencies:</b></p><ul><li>Action Oriented</li><li>Collaborates</li><li>Communicates Effectively</li><li>Customer Focus</li><li>Decision Quality</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Basic computer skills with knowledge of web based applications.</li><li>Interpersonal skills, working on teams, with heavy reliance on team to accomplish goals.</li><li>Follows safety policies and procedures.
