Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.). Prepare design concepts, sketches or models for approval. Oversee the acquisition, fitting and maintenance of costumes and wardrobes. Develop and prepare design sketches. Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales. Art or fashion design experience: Women's clothing. Children's clothing. Men's clothing. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Flexibility. Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
