*Job Title*: Aviation Stores Manager *Job Summary*: The Aviation Stores Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, receipt, storage, and issuance of aviation parts, tools, and supplies. This role ensures that all materials are properly logged, stored, and distributed in compliance with aviation regulations and company standards. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. *Key Responsibilities*: * *Inventory Management*: * Track and maintain inventory levels of aircraft parts, consumables, and supplies. * Ensure proper storage and handling of aviation materials to prevent damage or deterioration. * Perform regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Use inventory management software to update stock levels, generate reports, and track orders. * *Receiving and Inspection*: * Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and conformity with purchase orders. * Verify part numbers, quantities, and certificates of conformity for aviation parts. * Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and storage of received items. * *Shipping and Distribution*: * Prepare and package parts for shipment, ensuring compliance with aviation and safety standards. * Coordinate with internal departments (maintenance, repair, overhaul) for timely delivery of needed parts. * Handle the issuance and return of parts, tools, and supplies for maintenance operations. * *Regulatory Compliance*: * Ensure all operations comply with aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA) and company quality standards. * Maintain and update accurate records, including certificates, part traceability, and shelf-life monitoring. * *Supplier Relations*: * Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues with orders, track shipments, and negotiate delivery schedules. * Monitor and report on vendor performance. * *Tool and Equipment Management*: * Maintain an organized tool crib, ensuring all tools are calibrated, serviceable, and properly stored. * Track tool usage, manage tool check-outs, and schedule tool maintenance or calibration as needed. *Skills and Qualifications*: * *Education*: High school diploma or GED required; an associate?s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred. * *Experience*: 2+ years of experience in an aviation stores, logistics, or warehousing role, preferably in the aviation industry. * *Knowledge*: * Familiarity with aviation parts, components, and their regulatory requirements. * Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., Quantum, AMOS). * *Skills*: * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems. * Forklift Liscense * *Physical Requirements*: * Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs). * Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods. *Work Environment*: * Primarily a warehouse environment with exposure to various weather conditions depending on the facility location.
