Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Commercial. Tasks: Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Types of systems: Plumbing, cold water and drain lines. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
