*Overview* We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks and a passion for creating high-quality structures. This role involves working on diverse projects, from residential to commercial, and requires a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship. The Carpenter will be responsible for executing construction plans and ensuring that all work meets safety standards and specifications. *Responsibilities* * Perform installation of structures and fixtures, including doors, windows, cabinets, and drywall. * Assemble and install furniture, cabinetry, and other wooden structures. * Execute flooring installation with precision and attention to detail. * Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. * Conduct construction estimating to assess material needs and project timelines. * Handle heavy lifting as required during the construction process. * Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure project completion. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. *Skills* * Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry. * Strong understanding of drywall installation techniques. * Experience with siding installation is a plus. * Ability to lift heavy materials safely. * Knowledge of construction estimating practices. * Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics accurately. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. * Versatile maintenance person skills that can adapt to various carpentry tasks.
