*Overview*
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Equestrian Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with horses, riding, training and coaching. with the ability to educate riders of all skill levels.
As an Equestrian Coach, you will be responsible for developing training programs, enhancing rider skills, and fostering a love for equestrian sports in a safe and supportive environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Develop and implement individualized training programs for riders based on their skill levels and goals.
* Educate students on proper riding techniques, horse care, and safety protocols.
* Conduct private, semi-private and group regular riding lessons.
* Assess rider progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
* Maintain a safe and clean riding environment for both horses and riders.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and any concerns.
* Stay updated on the latest trends in equestrian training and education.
* Prepare for lessons by ensuring horses are healthy and ready to participate, that riding gear is in good condition, and that the environment is clean, safe, and free from hazards.
* Deliver lessons and horsemanship activities in accordance with the standards of a licensed instructor, following a structured lesson plan that progressively develops horsemanship and independent skills among all participants.
* Uphold a safe program environment for riders, horses, and volunteers.
* Clearly communicate safety protocols consistently and effectively.
* Maintain open and respectful communication with parents and professionals as necessary.
* Guide and support volunteers positively before, during, and after lessons, empowering them to enhance the experience for all participants.
* Help maintain organized stalls, barns, equipment, and arena
*Qualifications *
* Proven experience as an Equestrian Coach or similar role is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of various riding disciplines (e.g., dressage, jumping).
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate riders of all ages.
* Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching others about equestrian sports.
* Certification in equestrian coaching or related field is desirable but not mandatory.
