APPLY TO EDUCATION POSTING NUMBER: 3908602 Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic invites applications for the position of:TEACHER LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO) <p>HOLY CROSS 0.5 FTE <p>Classroom Resource Teacher/Gr 5/6 Core French & Intermediate Prep Effective immediately, <p>For an indefinite period, but not to extend beyond June 27, 2025 Mandatory Requirements: Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary, Junior and Intermediate Divisions<p> French as a Second Language Part 1<p> Special Education Part 1 Preferred Requirements: Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions<p> Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies<p> Proficient fluency in French as a Second Language<p> Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents<p> A sound knowledge of the IEP and IPRC processes and the planning for specific exceptionalities as well as experience with Special Equipment Amount (SEA) processes<p> A proven ability to implement effective inclusive instructional strategies that meet the needs of students with multiple exceptionalities and support these strategies with other teachers in classrooms<p> Knowledge, experience and commitment to integrating a variety of digital learning technologies and related applications effectively into instructional practice<p> Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment<p> Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy<p> Knowledge and experience in implementing balanced literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction<p> Understanding and experience in implementing the CEFR approach into FSL instruction<p> Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner<p> Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies<p> Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement<p> Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties<p> Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset <p>Qualified internal applicants who wish to be considered for this position are asked to apply via Apply To Education posting number 3908602 Qualified external applicants who wish to be considered for this position are asked to submit their resume and the following completed Teacher Application Package including pastoral reference via Apply To Education posting number 3908602 For any questions regarding the application process, please contact us at TeachingHumanResources@npsc.caApplications will be received via Apply To Education until the position is filledShawn Fitzsimmons, Chair <p>Paula Mann, Director of EducationThe Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board is committed to diversity and inclusion.
