We have proudly served our residents and the community since 1972.We are currently seeking an Activity Coordinator to join our Recreation Team. The successful candidate will assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing therapeutic recreation programs with residents, tenants, families, and house teams to fulfill the social, cultural, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs and desires of the residents.They will commit to meeting the individualized needs of the residents who live at Loch Lomond Villa through the Planetree Philosophy of Person-Centred Care. They will conduct all actions according to the mission of Loch Lomond Villa and promote its organizational values, with a commitment to functioning as part of a team.Qualifications:University degree/diploma in Therapeutic Recreation or post-secondary completion of a certified course in Recreation Programming plus coursework in gerontology/psychology is preferred.Ability to communicate and relate to residents challenged by age or disability.Must be capable of working independently, with good organizational and planning skills.Must be able to prepar reports as requiredTeam player - ability to work well with others and function as a Team MemberProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteMust provide a Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Persons Check.Must pass a Department of Social Development Record Check.Must pass a pre-employment medical.
