Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: On-site customer service. Commercial. Residential. Various locations. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Prepare flooring plans and scheduling. Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors. Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Estimate costs and materials. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces. Perform direct glue-down carpet installations. Perform double-bond carpet installations. Install outdoor carpets. Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms. Install vinyl decking materials. Installation specialization: Vinyl or resilient tiles. Vinyl or resilient sheets. Ceramic tiles. Marble tiles. Hardwood intricate patterns flooring. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Ability to distinguish between colours. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Support for Veterans: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans .
