*This is a full-time position with an opportunity for career growth and is based out of our office in Cumberland, BC.*
*The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications:*
* Valid Class 5 Driver?s License with a clean driver?s abstract
* Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
* Completion of post-secondary diploma, or degree in business administration, or a related field is an asset
* Prior dispatch experience (i.e. traffic control, construction, transportation, e-comm) is an asset
* Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills
* Learning agility and willing to continually learn and develop
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written
* Recognized for positive outlook and enthusiastic attitude
* Demonstrates a conscientious mindset - Committed to doing the best job possible within a given deadline.
* Safety conscious
* Willing to work in all weather conditions
* Able to work within a team environment
* Strong proficiency in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
* Sound understanding of accounts payable cycle and basic accounting knowledge is an asset
*Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:*
* Receives dispatches and schedules work accordingly.
* Provides leadership to direct reports; in job performance, compliance, and according to WorkSafe requirements.
* Working alongside and leading a crew of up to five to six (5 - 6) employees in general labour duties consisting of: traffic control, vegetation control, landscape maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, and various other labour-type projects
* Ensuring your team has the correct knowledge/skills, training, tools, and supervision necessary to successfully perform their duties
* Continuously monitoring operations with senior managers to identify opportunities for improvement and successes
* Ensuring team members meet deadlines and productivity measures for key projects and tasks
* Provide training and mentorship for new and existing employees
* Keep team up to speed on policies and procedures, as well as Job Standards and expectations
