We are currently seeking a self-motivated and dedicated professional to join our team as a permanent full-time *Drafting Technician*.
This role involves creating basic site plans and layouts, designing excavation/shoring plans, pile layouts, retaining wall and backfill plans, producing other drawings as necessary and collaborating with engineers and project managers to meet project specifications. The ideal candidate is meticulous, skilled in AutoCAD, and comfortable working under tight deadlines. While we value teamwork, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of moderately complex design tasks and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Develop detailed engineering drawings and documents based on sketches, redline markups, and information based on verbal instructions and notes provided by engineers.
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to complete tasks based on project specifications and requirements.
* Ensure drafting/CAD standards, quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production.
* Coordinate with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables.
* Prepare design submissions and technical documents, including BP and IFC drawings.
* Budgeting.
*Qualifications*
* Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Computer-Aided Design.
* Excellent AutoCAD skills.
* Minimum 3 years of experience working with civil engineering design disciplines.
* Ability to interpret broad feedback and translate it into detailed and accurate plans.
* General knowledge of engineering mathematics and the ability to perform basic computations.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Fundamental knowledge of Adobe and MS Office products.
