*Position: Construction Safety Officer/Safety Lead (Health and Safety)* *Location: (Project Office: Mississauga otherwise DT Toronto)* *Shift: Monday to Friday 8AM TO 5PM* *Full time position* *Job Summary* *We are seeking a dedicated Construction Safety Officer/Safety Lead(Health and Safety)to join our team. The Construction Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring the overall safety and well-being of employees in the workplace*. *Requirements:* Experience in Safety Lead(Health and Safety) in Civil or construction. Experience with Safety Programs /Safety Audits /Risk Assessment. Experience with Construction Site Inspections/Construction Management. Experience with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Guidlines and Hazard Identification Audit Exp. Coming from Major Civil Projects nor commercial Side, will be working closely with construction team, Managing existing programs and manual, Will have team of 3 to 4 and this person reports to Safety manager, Has to maintain high safety record Develop and implement safety policies and procedures Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures Provide safety training to employees on various topics Maintain safety records and documentation Stay up-to-date with safety regulations and best practices Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role Knowledge of safety standards and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Certification in occupational health and safety is a plus Familiarity with construction management software is preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $150,000.00-$170,000.00 per year Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * Safety officer/Construction Safety Officer: 5 years (required) * safety compliance/Health and Safety: 5 years (required) * safety inspections/safety audits: 5 years (required) * transit/rail industries project: 5 years (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-11-18- LocationMississauga, ON
