The Investment Consultant plays a key role in supporting and developing the overall success of our office operations. The Investment Consultant will identify prospects in both personal and business markets as well as their Natural market to determine needs and as a trusted Investment Consultant, make informed product recommendations. The individual will support the omni-channel environment and provide superior client engagement through cross channel referrals and support.
Roles and responsibilities:
SALES
o Prospect and sell investment products.
o Develop a knowledge of the client?s entire financial situation and be able to structure a goal-based investment and financial plan.
o Ability to discuss estate planning and work with internal and external resources to meet estate planning goals of the client.
o Support development of the agency operation through the sales and profitable growth of Mutual funds and related wealth management products
o Provide accurate quotes and up-sell and/or cross-sell other company products through referrals
o Complete front line risk assessment and selection, following underwriting guidelines
o Develop annual marketing plans outlining strategies and activities to meet goals.
o Support programs to build multi-client relationships.
o Achieve individual goals for sales, quality and productivity and contribute to the achievement of overall agency sales and growth goals
COMPANY & BRAND PROMOTION
o Develops, maintains, and cultivates community contacts to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities.
o Participates in events designed to promote brand awareness and educate consumers
CLIENT SERVICE
o Respond to and investigate client questions and concerns, resolve client complaints, and escalate issues appropriately
o participate in the Client Review program
o Retain existing clients by providing industry leading client experiences.
o Ensures completion of requested account and policy updates and changes.
o Coordinates the involvement of branch office staff and/or business partners when necessary to resolve client issues.
o Seek to establish a level of trust and confidence with the client to be able to discuss and understand their financial goals and offer recommendations
o Conducts real-time documentation of client information in CRM system
o Achieve individual goals for client service, and contribute to the achievement of overall agency goals
o Support referrals to and from other omni-channels
Qualifications And Skills:
o Completion of a degree or post-secondary studies in a related field (Investments, Finance, Law, Accounting/Tax, Economics, Business Administration)
o Mutual Fund License required
o Completion of at least one of the following professional designations are required for this role within three years (CFP, CLU, CHFC or accredited Financial Planning Designation)
o Three years of Investment sales experience or related business experience is preferred
o In-depth knowledge of wealth insurance products and the Mutual Fund industry
o Strong underwriting skills is an asset
o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Excellent skills in communication (verbal and written), organization, time management, client service, decision making, problem solving
o Candidate must be proficient in a technology dependent environment including proficient with Microsoft Office.
o The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment.
o Valid Driver? s license is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
