Nordmin Engineering Ltd. is presently looking to add to our team and is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the following position: *PROJECT MANAGER* *JOB SUMMARY* The Project Manager is the primary point of contact, responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. The Project Manager will define project requirements and scope, acquire project resources, and supervise the efforts of project team members. Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each project?s lifecycle. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* * Manage the entire lifecycle of a given project, ranging from strategic planning initiatives to tactical activities. * Establish a Project execution plan for each approved project, defining the projects goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, work breakdown structure, milestones, and deliverables. * Manage the project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success. * Manage the planning of all project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using the appropriate software tools and/or methods. * Establish and deliver mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting to stakeholders via a formal communications plan. * Produce regular reports (status, escalations, etc.) on the progress of projects; deliver these reports during regular stakeholder meetings. * Review or complete the work to track all project costs to ensure completion within budget; procure extra budget funding where necessary. * Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists. * Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associate work; create contingency plans to mitigate risk. * Customer Focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Able to work in a high-energy environment with a team of technical professionals. * Creative and Innovative Thinking with a focus on Qualitative management of all project materials. * Assistance in creation of budgets and schedules for executing projects. *QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE* * A degree in an area of engineering, potentially with business admin/mgmt. training is an asset. * 5+ years of direct work experience in project management. * Possession of project management certifications preferred. * PMP designation would be considered an asset. * Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods. * Experience facilitating meetings, feedback sessions, and briefings to create consensus among stakeholders. * Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management. * Strong knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls. * Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations. * Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines. *PROVIDED BY NORDMIN* * An excellent working environment focused on client needs and project delivery in a flexible, inclusive team. * Access to training and upgrading opportuni- LocationThunder Bay, ON
