Job Description: Pharmacy Technical Assistant
Position Summary
As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant at Naz Pharmacy, you will play a key role in supporting pharmacy operations to ensure the highest level of service to our patients and the smooth functioning of our specialty programs, particularly Home Monitoring. This position encompasses both technical and administrative tasks and requires collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Act as the main communicator with the Home Monitoring (HM) team at the head office.
Contact case managers and coordinate with relevant parties for patient care and route management.
Call HM patients as needed to provide assistance and follow up on prescription requirements for new referrals.
Contact patients and set up Internal Database (NRDB) entries.
Assist with the CSAN project by managing patient scheduling on a weekly or as-needed basis.
Perform quality control checks on CSAN devices to ensure they are up to date.
Assist with the intake and assessment of patient referrals for the Home Monitoring program.
Collaborate with home monitoring pharmacies to streamline processes that support both the team and program.
Support the office team with technical duties and ad hoc requests as needed.
Manage sick calls and coordinate coverage; step in to provide relief coverage when alternative solutions are unavailable.
Oversee the management of company vehicles, including scheduling repairs, services, and maintaining a weekly car assignment schedule to assist the nursing team.
Conduct monthly or bi-monthly narcotics counts as directed by the pharmacist.
Compile and report statistics for the Weekly HM Newsletter for use in business development, specialty pharmacy, and marketing.
Assist pharmacists in maintaining medication inventories and accurate prescription records.
Perform data entry to ensure patient information is accurate and updated in relevant databases.
Plan and communicate daily deliverables with pharmacists and the Pharmacy Manager to ensure alignment with pharmacy objectives.
Provide support in typing home monitoring prescriptions as needed and assist with pharmacy calendar tasks.
Demonstrate a proactive approach in identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
Be open to feedback and maintain adaptability in a dynamic team environment.

Key Requirements
Some experience or education in a pharmacy assistant or similar role.
Physical ability to stand for the duration of shifts and lift up to 15 kg (35 lbs).
Proficiency with CRMs.
Assist with typing and processing home monitoring prescriptions.
Support tasks related to the pharmacy calendar and broader Home Monitoring needs
