*Overview*: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our team. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating and assessing mortgage loan applications to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. If you have a strong background in risk analysis, financial services, and data collection, along with excellent math skills, we encourage you to apply. *Responsibilities*: - Review and analyze mortgage loan applications to determine creditworthiness and eligibility for approval - Assess borrower's financial status, credit history, employment history, and other relevant information - Conduct thorough risk analysis to identify potential issues or discrepancies - Verify accuracy of all supporting documentation and ensure compliance with lending guidelines - Collaborate with loan officers, processors, and other team members to gather additional information or clarify details - Make informed decisions regarding loan approvals or denials based on established criteria - Provide clear and concise explanations for loan decisions to borrowers and internal stakeholders - Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and underwriting guidelines *Experience*: - Mortgage Underwriting: 1 year (preferred) *Requirements*: - Completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experience required - Work experience as a Mortgage Underwriter or similar role - Solid math skills for calculations related to loan amounts, interest rates, etc. - Ability to collect and analyze relevant data from various sources - Detail-oriented _If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for providing exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.
