VICE PRINCIPAL ELEMENTARY <p>The Abbotsford School District is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Sem:th First Nation and Mathexw First Nation. With this, we respect the longstanding relationships that Indigenous Nations have to this land, as they are the original caretakers.<p>We are seeking applications for future Vice-Principal positions in our Elementary schools. This is an excellent leadership opportunity to contribute to our vision of equitable and inclusive elementary schools. As an Elementary Vice Principal, your leadership in the classroom and in the school is key to building compassionate and brave learning spaces and ensuring that children master literacy and numeracy, and joyfully explore the curriculum.<p>We are seeking an exemplary educator who understands the healthy development of the whole child and has a clear personal commitment to meaningful learning experiences, equitable opportunities, and culturally safe environments. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with students, families, and staff based on sound and supportive instructional leadership practice.<p>Qualifications A Masters degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum, Diverse Learners or related discipline (or in progress)<p> A member in good standing with the Teacher Regulation Branch<p> Successful teaching and leadership experience, preferably at the elementary school level<p> Demonstrated leadership in curriculum, instruction, and assessment<p> Demonstrated expertise in personalized learning in literacy and numeracy and inquiry-based exploration of the curriculum<p> Strong understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of the developing child<p> Demonstrated integration of the First Peoples Principles of Learning and commitment to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission<p> Ability to meaningfully include all members of the school community to fulfill a commitment to enhancing equity and home/school partnerships <p> Demonstration of district leadership competencies with particular attention to courage and integrity, relationships, learning and innovation, community and culture, and learning leadership.- LocationAbbotsford, BC
