Position Overview:Reporting to the Security Front Line Supervisor serving IOL this position has the primary responsibility to perform all duties related to the Site Access Control System to control access to the Imperial Oil Sarnia Site for the purpose of security.This position requires familiarity of the Imperial Oil Sarnia site and its practices, as well as an extensive general computer knowledge in order to perform all required tasks.The Security guard is expected to represent Paladin Security Group as well as the facility they are assigned to.Essential Job Functions:Security personnel at this location are primary for emergency dutiesSecurity personnel are to be conversant with emergency duties and proceduresMonitor Genetec access Conduct Early Warning System test every second Monday as per scheduleOperate Site Center COM Radio system as requiredCustodian of keys and key log Issue card keys to authorized personsIssue Site Access Control System visitor cardsResponsible for emergency loading rack shutdowns upon requestNotify Site Emergency Response Leader (S.E.R.L.) and the Security Shift Leader of all alarmsNotification to S.E.R.L. and Refinery Shift Superintendent (RSS) of any incidentsMonitor CCTV and report all unusual activities to the Security Shift Leader and S.E.R.LOperate weigh scale during the off-hoursLiaise with other security staff on siteProvide assistance to all IOL contacts and contractors when requestedLiaise with site E.R.L. and Security Front Line SupervisorUse software to detect severe weather and heat and crosspatch this to the siteUtilize two-way radio and computer applications for communicating site activitiesSustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when requiredOffer support to any person in need such as providing good customer service when providing a security presence, such as providing direction, responding to emergency situation involving violent individuals and injuriesPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Requirements:At least two years of security experience in a team lead role would be an assetPost-Secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized collegeWorking knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health ActSuperior written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacySecurity Guards at Imperial Oil may be required to complete a drug & alcohol test for incidents that occur on Imperial Oil propertyMust pass a N95 mask fit testA successful interview with the Site Security Manager is mandatory Highlights:Extensive Paid Industry TrainingEmployer Paid BenefitsOpportunities for Growth & Advancement At the time of the interview applicant must be able to produce proof of completion of the following prerequisites:A Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseProficient in English (both oral and written) Successful completion of the following requirements provided by Paladin are mandatory prior to placement:Paladin's online WHMIS 2015Basic Safety Orientation through the IEC (will be arranged through Paladin)First Aid & CPR ?
