This secret speakeasy opens onto an elevated waterfront terrace, jutting out into the harbour with the best views in the city. *Job Description* Under the direction of the General Manager, we are looking for a *Manager *at *Drift *who will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant including staffing, cost controls, staff training, budgeting, administration and active floor management during service. *What you will be doing:* * Dealing with high-end clientele, creating welcoming and exclusive atmosphere, and managing VIP guest relations with finesse. * Creating memorable experience in a high-end environment. * Showing leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and wine * Communicating the vision to all team members and leads by example. Reinforcing the values daily and inspires the team with his/her exciting vision for the future * Following bar, beverage and wine control procedures exactly * Going above and beyond for special requests or celebrations and take dietary preferences and allergies seriously *The person we are looking for has:* * A post-secondary diploma/degree in Business or Hospitality is considered an asset * Experience in a high volume, fast paced hospitality environment * A strong understanding of Five-Star service standards and ensuring these are consistently met or exceeded * The ability to anticipate and fulfill guests' needs before they even ask, ensuring a flawless guest experience. * A strong knowledge of upscale cocktail creation, inventory management, and the ability to oversee both front and back-of-house operations in a high-end bar setting in considered an asset. * A refined approach to managing a team, ensuring smooth service flow * The ability to maintain the speakeasy?s exclusivity and confidentiality. * Experience in hosting and managing events, from intimate gatherings to exclusive parties, with an eye for ambiance, décor, and live entertainment. * The ability to respond promptly and courteously to any guest request or concern. *What?s in it for you?* * Competitive salary * Comprehensive extended Health & Dental benefits * Access to our gym and fitness facilities * 50% dining discount at Freehand locations * RRSP Matching A member of The Armour Group, Freehand Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
