Financial Analyst(18-month term)Count on this!We are looking for an experienced professional with an accounting designation to join the Financial Services team as a Financial Analyst within the Revenue Branch. You will work with a Team of 13-18 providing support to internal and external users. This is an amazing team that supports each other to ensure everyone is successful. Our Financial Analysts help manage the City of Kelowna?s finances, showcasing their superior leadership, pro-active communication, and strong technical and analytical skills while problem-solving and managing projects. This may include implementing, approving, analyzing and improving financial reporting and accounting systems, coordinating the work of other finance staff as well as internal auditing.QualificationsCPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) Designation Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience with a minimum of 2 years at the Accountant level of experience or higher Experience working and supporting financial software systems, internal controls, customer service, preparing complex transactions, reporting and budgeting, municipal accounting would be an asset.
