We are a law office focused on personal injury and long-term disability located in the heart of Richmond Hill looking for an experienced and knowledgeable law clerk with at least 5-10 years of recent relevant experience. In this role you will play an important role in smooth running of our personal injury and LTD files. *Qualification:* * Completion of accredited legal assistant and or law clerk program is preferred; * *At least 5-10 years?* of recent experience in dealing with Tort and accident benefits matters (plaintiff personal injury) * Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in an environment with a broad variety of administrative and clerical functions * Familiarity with the _Rules of Civil Procedure_ and the _Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule_ * Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail * Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere * Demonstrated ability to research/investigate issues and sound decision making skills to resolve problems and or escalate as appropriate * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision * Demonstrated advanced writing skills to prepare legal correspondence and complete forms * Ability to exercise good judgment when dealing with clients * Positive and friendly demeanor * Willing and positive towards learning, education, advancing skills and adapting to new responsibilities.
