*Job Summary:* Functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to both Marriott International and property ownership. Verifies implementation of service strategy and initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations, increased profit and market share. Holds property leadership team accountable for strategy execution, and guides their individual professional development. The position verifies that sales engines are leveraged and initiates independent and proactive sales activities, when appropriate, to generate demand. Verifies that the objectives and goals of Marriott and property owners work together to achieve brand positioning and success. Builds owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results. The position is actively involved in the local community and builds strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers. *Key Responsibilities:* * Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. * Focus on achievement of hotel financial goals / budget targets. * Ensure that all franchise operating standards are followed. * Be accessible to guests and employees. * Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, room availability, and expected arrivals/departures. * Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction. * Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. * Leads all aspects of employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment. * Establishes, maintains, and trains standards and procedures for cleaning and safe working conditions in all departments. * Works to ensure high scores for customer service, cleanliness and other related items on all franchise inspections. * Other duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift Ability to commute/relocate: * Vernon, BC V1T 9V2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person- LocationVernon, BC
