We?re Lynden Hills Dentistry, a well-established dental practice providing a full range of dental services for the whole family: diagnostic, preventative, restorative, aesthetic, and maintenance. Our philosophy is to always put our patient first. Due to growth in our practice, our team is looking for our next Dental Hygienist. What you?ll be doing Your primary goal is to ensure that every patient contact with Lynden Hills Dentistry (The Practice), whether by phone or in person, creates and establishes such a favorable impression that they feel like a welcomed guest to the Practice, and confident in having chosen us for their dental care. To assess and provide dental hygiene services to the patients of the Practice and arranged and approved by the patient via the Hygiene Coordinator. To contribute to the team environment within which there is no such thing ?that?s not my job?. Key accountabilities: Safety · All Infection Control Protocols must be strictly adhered to during preparation, procedures, tear down, and disinfection. · Preparations: Patient chart reviews for the next 2 weeks, operatory preparations, begin notes. Courtesy · Ensure the scheduled appointment, treatment plan, and amount of time agree · Check for signed financial agreement and signed informed consent · Check for Medical Alerts and any Special Precautions · All conversations must be pleasant and professional, and focused on the patient and their oral health · Know and understand patient?s behaviour styles and have the ability to speak with them more effectively (D.I.S.C.) Clinical Excellence · Complete all diagnostics before starting hygiene treatment and scaling · Recommend comprehensive oral examination with the doctor every 3-5 years, with X-rays to show all apices and inter proximal contacts · Patient COMFORT is your top priority · Accurately record your clinical notes, follow the template, and complete all sections · Other duties as needed and instructed by the doctor or management This is an active and dynamic role, well-suited to someone who loves interacting with patients, providing the highest quality care, and helping the clinic run flawlessly Qualifications · CDHO Registration · HARP Certification · BLS/CPR certification · Infection Control and Prevention Certificates Working @ Lynden Hills Dentistry We strive to provide the full continuum of patient care and believe that every day provides an opportunity to learn and share.
