GREATER ESSEX COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD<p>Gale Hatfield - Chairperson of the Board Vicki Houston - Director of Education<p>International Language Instructor <p>In accordance with the OSSTF Continuing Education Instructors Collective Agreement, the Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications from interested, qualified candidates for the position of International Language Instructor.<p>International Language Instructors will instruct classes on Saturday mornings at a school site(s). Classes begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 12:00 noon commencing Saturday, October 5, 2024 to May 10, 2025.<p>Job Summary: <p>Term of appointment: 2024-2025 school year<p>This position is a one (1) year assignment, extendable on an annual basis by agreement between both employer and employee.<p>Duties Commencing: November 2024<p>Salary: $38.55 per hour (including pay for Vacation and Statutory Holidays) In accordance with the OSSTF Continuing Education Instructors Collective Agreement.<p>Nature & Scope of Position: <p><p> Demonstrate strong collaborative, presentation, written and oral communication skills to support the delivery of the program. <p> Demonstrate a commitment to and documented success in working to create a fair, inclusive, antiracist environment for all stakeholders, and to supporting diverse constituencies and populations.<p> Assist with the promotion of the International Languages Program.<p> Experience working with youth and adult students would be considered an asset. <p> Current police clearance required. <p><p>Qualifications: <p><p> Proficiency in computer skills such as but not limited to: Word, Excel or other database software. <p> Proficiency and fluency in at least one (1) international language. <p> Legally allowed to work in Canada, over the age of 18. <p> An interest and passion about languages.<p> Classroom experience considered an asset.<p> Effective organization, communication skills, and respect within the classroom environment.<p><p>A COMPLETE APPLICATION PACKAGE FOR THIS POSITION SHALL INCLUDE:<p><p> An application letter;<p> A detailed resume;<p><p>Qualified candidates are invited to apply in writing, giving full particulars as to education, qualifications, and experience by visiting www.applytoeducation.com no later than 4:00 PM on Monday November 11, 2024 .
