PO Box 33066, Quinpool Road, Halifax, NS B3L 4T6 Salary: $24.25 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per Week Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full-time Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Weekend Starts: as soon as possible Vacancies: 1 Vacancy Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Workplace information: On-site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Worksite environment: Outdoors Responsibilities Tasks:- Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation. Operate heavy equipment Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements. Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks Measure distance, volume, length and weight Understand the purpose, proper usage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS) Complete onboard and other logs Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment Prepare accident reports Secure special attachments to equipment Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment Credentials: Driver's License (Class 3 or D) Area of work experience: Construction site Security and safety:- Criminal record check Drug test Work conditions and physical capabilities:- Physically demanding Attention to detail Fast-paced environment Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability:- Efficient interpersonal skills Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Hardworking Other benefits:- Team building opportunities Parking available Who can apply for this job?
