*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This position is essential for providing excellent patient care and assisting with medication administration in a hospital or clinical setting. A strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy technician duties will be beneficial. *Responsibilities* * Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients. * Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. * Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and assist in managing stock levels. * Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information and medication orders. * Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication management. * Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects. * Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining cleanliness in the pharmacy area. *Experience* * Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. * Fillware system preferred but not a must * Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices is highly desirable. * Familiarity with medication administration processes within a hospital setting is an advantage. * Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is a plus but not mandatory. * Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are essential for success in this role.
