ABOUT US:
Onion Lake Family Services is an organization that strengthens family units by offering support and resources to parents and caregivers, aiming for healthy homes. Our short-term, strength based services focus on empowering families for long term improvement and skill building.
*Roles and Responsibilities*
The Ohpikowin Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Ohpikowin programs, services and initiatives affecting youth in-care and transitioning out of care.
· Providing comprehensive case management to client files and case plans.
· Working with Elders, Nation members, and other professionals to create a safe and supportive environment.
· Evaluating of wrap-around support strategies that meet distinct needs of Onion Lake Cree Nation Youth.
· Promoting and supporting outcomes that are devised and lead by the youth in all aspects of their life planning.
· Develop culturally based safety, wellbeing and supportive programs geared towards helping youth in care and formally in care young adults.
· Coordinate family reconnection for youth in care and out care young adults.
· Develop support programs including Life Skills Programs that would aid the out of care young adults to easily access culturally appropriate supports and services that meet their needs and implement the First Nations Cree culture into programming.
· Assist the youth on individual needs in case planning.
· Identify steps to achieve youth goals, monitor progress, and assist in removing barriers, this includes LGBTQI youth.
· Work with you youth in care to actively engage in community, language, culture, and their spirituality.
· Provide support to clients including advocacy, referral, transportation, and mentoring.
· Collect and document data to track client successes.
· Complete quarterly evaluations with youth to identify strengths and weaknesses within their plans.
· Facilitate group presentations.
· Develop programs based on available funding on and off reserve to support stability and connections in the areas of housing, employment, education, mental health, and wellbeing.
· Complete appropriate paperwork for program reporting and interoffice communication.
· Coordinate, schedule, and attend case conferences and appointments with community providers with whom the youth is involved.
· Maintain contact with the client?s circle of care network.
· Participate in weekly staff meetings with the management to evaluate clients and program progress.
· Attend and participate in weekly individual supervision meetings with the Executive Director to discuss client needs, goals, and challenges.
· Adhere and enforce OLFS policies and procedures.
· Other duties that are complimentary to the Ohpikowin Manager position.
*Qualifications and Education Requirements*
· B.I.S.W. B.S.W. preferred,
· 3+years relevant experience in a related field
· Valid class 5 drivers? license with acceptable abstract
· Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector

? Knowledge and experience of family dynamics
? Understanding of _The Child and Family Services Act of Saskatchewan_
? Work under pressure and stress situations
? Experience in program development and planning
? Strong principles and ethics
? Work under pressure and stressful situations
? Attention to detail
? Excellent organizational and time management skills
? Punctual
? Physical ability to lift up-to 20lbs
