Mail and Shipping Clerk Our client in the printing industry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to support a busy mailroom environment. This on-site role requires strong organizational skills, a customer-focused approach, and a commitment to quality and efficiency. The work environment is casual, and the role requires the candidate to perform a range of tasks related to mail and package processing, shipping, receiving, and fulfillment, with an emphasis on accurate record-keeping and adherence to security protocols. What is in it for you: ? Hourly salary of $22.57. ? 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment. ? Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week. ? Responsibilities: ? Prepare, receive, sort, and process mail, packages, and supplies, including logging and tracking accountable mail and notifying recipients. ? Operate color production printers for basic printing tasks. ? Utilize automated systems to manage shipping and receiving, record incoming/outgoing shipments, and perform quality checks on outbound mail. ? Arrange and track alternative courier or shipping services to meet specific customer needs. ? Perform labeling, mail merge, electronic mail distribution, and fulfillment tasks, such as assembly, packaging, and kitting. ? Operate and maintain mail equipment, including inserters, sorters, and finishing tools. ? Conduct scheduled mail pick-up and delivery runs. ? Follow established mailroom security and quality procedures. ? Track, trace, and resolve issues related to mail delivery or receipt. ? Monitor and replenish inventory of mailroom supplies. ? Assist in identifying and implementing cost-saving improvements. What you will need to succeed: ? High School diploma or equivalent. ? 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional, client-facing environment. ? 1-2 years of experience in a mailroom environment; previous dock and material handling experience preferred. ? Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel). ? Strong written and verbal communication skills. ? Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision and operate high-volume mail equipment. ? Self-motivated with excellent customer service orientation. ? Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Why Recruit Action?
