<p><b><span>With a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger.</span></b><br> </p>Position Purpose:<br>Reporting to the Store Human Resources Manager (SHRM) this role will support the HR function in the store in the areas of staffing, associate training, associate development, and WSIB/WCB administration and reporting, scheduling, and administrative functions. The role will spend approximately 60% of the time with scheduling and 40% of time dealing with HR administrative support functions. <br>Position Responsibilities:<br> We're looking for the type of associates who can tap into their inner orange by: <br>.Reviewing sales and hours forecasts with Store Manager (SM) and SHRM for the time period being scheduled <br>.Planning, inputting, producing and posting weekly schedules <br>.Ensuring associate availabilities meet minimum requirements as per business needs and partner with Department Supervisor/Assistant Store Manager (DS/ASM) should they not <br>.Supporting SHRM with the coordination of scheduling of quarterly associate performance review process <br>.Coordinating and maintain training calendars showing available courses each month <br>.Tracking training completed on a monthly basis through T2 <br>.Reviewing the schedule with the Store Manager for final sign-off before posting the final schedule, ensuring to communicate any areas where gaps in customer service coverage occur <br>. Sourcing candidates using KENEXA and pre-screening internal and external candidates for hourly positions ensuring process compliance <br>.Following appropriate process for submission of BACKCHECK for all candidates <br>.Supporting HRM as needed with the writing and compiling of offer packages <br>.Coordinating and distributing associate service awards <br>.Assisting store leadership team in supporting the Open Door policy to ensure positive associate relations <br>.Ongoing liaison to SHRM for associate relations concerns and understanding when to escalate associate concerns to SM and SHRM <br>.Completing WSIB/WCB administration and reporting <br>.Creating entries in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) with regards to employee maintenance, actions, and AIMs entry <br>.Administrative function of filing and distributing paperwork <br>.Coordinating and participating with the on-boarding of new associates <br>.Coordinating the Orientation program; scheduling both new associates and presenters <br>Experience/Knowledge Required: <br>The kind of orange we?re looking for will possess: <br>. Minimum time in position and performance management code requirements of V2 (or P3 in previous system) <br>.Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends <br>.Knowledge of and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures <br>.Post secondary HR education (considered an asset)<br>.1 year leadership experience (considered an asset) <br>.Exceptional customer service skills <br>. Successfully complete any required Training
