*Overview* The Specialist ? Data Governance is responsible for maintaining master data accuracy in system. Liaising with various teams and utilizing a variety of software applications, this position will be responsible to collect, consolidate, update, and cleanse master data in multiple systems as required. This position builds and maintain exceptional relationships with various internal stakeholders including Sourcing, Marketing, and Quality Teams. *Key Accountabilities* * Collect and document user requirements: Act as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and internal support teams and analysing information system processes and collaborate with clients/business units to identify and document their requirements * Design, construct, modify, integrate, implement and test data models and database management systems by establishing new product lines or offerings in the database system, ensuring all data flows properly to the respective stakeholders (i.e. Supply Chain, Marketing, Quality, Product Development, Warehouse Operations, Finance {Pricing, A/R, A/P}, Business Development, Customer Experience, etc.), and ensuring unique attributes apply specifically to their respective cases (e.g. tax application for a specific country, sizing dimensions for a specific product, pallet size by customer, product, etc.) * Operate database management systems to analyze data and perform data mining analysis by running reports and performing data cleansing on a regular basis * Develop and implement data administration policy, standards and models by developing system reports to ?flag? errors; new deployments are tested in a non-production environment before going live * Conduct research and provide advice to other information systems professionals regarding the collection, availability, security and suitability of data by performing data cleansing through mass updates to maintain accuracy and repair data errors * Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers (i.e. LSMW scripts for mass updates/data cleansing) * Create, update and maintain master data accuracy in the ERP System * Use tools like Innowera, Item setup portal to create and modify material masters * Price Maintenance - Update Contract and Purchase Order price based on request. * Maintain product reference data within ERP system * Build mass upload tools such as LSMW in SAP required for mass data changes. Understanding of Metadata is required. * Track and compile reports on operational data such as status reports and process metrics for senior staff or similar audiences. * Address daily ad-hoc requests for master data changes with error-free execution * Identify data anomalies, come up with processes to fix them, follow up with individual teams to collect data, validate, and upload in ERP and double check reports * Build reports based on existing policies to highlight data anomalies, make a corrective action plan * Understand end to end data supply chain, work to remove process discrepancies * Maintain Materials across various plants, Sales org based on predefined business strategy * Perform changes in master data based on data governance policies set, update policies as required. * Understanding customer requirements, company strategy, work to incorporate customer needs into current process and systems * Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly data checks to ensure all master data aligns with company standard and strategy * Create detailed, formal documents, such as meeting minutes for cross functional committees or internal operating procedures; * Assists with special projects and perform other duties as assigned *Skills* * Post-secondary education required * 1-2 years industry experience considered an asset * Well Versed with MS Office Suite ? advanced Excel advanced skillset required including proficiency with VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and tables * Experience with ERP software is a plus * Working knowledge of SAP MM, SAP tables for MM, mass changes, and r- LocationVaughan, ON
