*We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Sewing Operator to join our team!* *POSITION SUMMARY* In this role, you will operate sewing machines to produce high-quality cleaning products, including wet mops and dust mops. You will set up machines, follow specifications, and ensure our output meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* * *Machine Operation:* Operate and maintain various industrial sewing machines for manufacturing cleaning materials. * *Set Up and Preparation:* Prepare machines with the appropriate materials and settings according to work orders. Assemble components for dry dusting mops and attach fringes using lock stitch or chain stitch machines. * *Production Efficiency:* Work efficiently to meet production deadlines while ensuring high-quality output. Monitor production speed and recommend improvements. * *Quality Assurance:* Inspect finished products to confirm they meet durability and effectiveness standards. * *Documentation:* Maintain accurate records of production counts, materials used, and quality discrepancies. * *Collaboration:* Work closely with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and troubleshoot production issues. * *Safety Compliance:* Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe work environment. * *Additional Duties:* Perform other tasks as assigned. *QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE* * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Previous experience in an industrial sewing setting is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. *WORK ATTRIBUTES* * Location: 1725 Sargent Avenue * Shift Hours: 7:00 am ? 3:30 pm (hours may vary based on business needs) * Must meet pre-determined production times and possess manual dexterity for handling fabric. * Ability to lift materials as needed and work in a noisy, dusty environment. * A clear criminal record check is required. *WHY AGF* * We believe in providing growth to our team * We support education * We have a competitive benefits plan and pension plan * We strongly believe in giving back to our community through charitable donations * Team and culture is a big part of AGF through BBQs, team events and outings * We are well respected for providing innovative and environmentally responsible products as well as for providing exceptional customer service. *Join us in making quality cleaning products that make a difference!* AGF is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse, inclusive and accessible workplace.
