*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This position will focus on accurately estimating project and material costs, while engaging with clients to drive sales and foster long-term relationships. The ideal candidate will need to have an extensive understanding of building materials and techniques, experience in quoting construction projects, and possess excellent communication and strong negotiation skills.
*Key Responsibilities*
General Materials Sales:
- Analyze project plans and client specifications to prepare accurate material take-offs and cost estimates of construction materials
- Work with internal departments to prepare and present detailed proposals and estimates to clients.
- Collaborate with project managers, internal/external departments, coworkers, and engineers to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Costing and procurement of building enveloping materials (lumber, steel, air barriers, insulation, vapour barriers, etc).
-Collaborate with company departments to ensure adequate inventory levels for project fulfillment.
Building Component & Perma-Column Sales:
- Engage with clients via phone, email, and in-person to understand their needs and to communicate pricing, deals and product offers.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while seeking new sales opportunities.
-Assist with supporting the Perma-Column Dealer Network
- Provide product information, pricing, and delivery timelines to clients.
- Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve company goals.
- Track sales metrics and prepare regular reports on sales performance.
-Process incoming truss orders, filter and qualify leads.
-Prioritize truss quotes through a process of most, moderate, and least important.
-Assist Truss Designer with quoting process, acting as an informed review of quotes before sending to clients.
*Qualifications*
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction estimating or inside sales within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and best practices.
-Willing to gain extensive knowledge of the Perma-Column Product lines, etc.
- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
