Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products. Help with scheduling and workflow. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments. Bill third party insurers. Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams. Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products. Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation. Collect statistics. Perform general clerical duties. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Order supplies and equipment. Organize and maintain inventory. Schedule and confirm appointments. Assist health care professionals. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Office. MS Word. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks.
