Automotive Technician to join our Mine Maintenance Department in Voisey's Bay, NL, a fly-in fly-out operation.This is a permanent on-site position, working a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation.As a Maintenance Technician ? Automotive Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of automotive and other light vehicles on site. The Maintenance Technician ? Automotive Technician is also responsible for maintaining equipment safely and effectively to meet performance requirements and the needs of the organization. The Maintenance Technician ? Automotive Technician will work out of the Light Vehicle Shop with a diverse team of various tradespeople. Additionally, in this position you will: Service, inspect, and repair various makes and models of diesel-powered light vehicles, as well as small gasoline powered recreational and utility vehicles to ensure safe operating conditions of the light vehicle fleet.Diagnose and repair driveline, fuel, exhaust, cooling, electrical, or any other automotive or light vehicle issues.Use various types of diagnostic equipment including OEM and aftermarket systems.Provide part requirements and labour estimates to plan future repairs.Complete other job-related documentation and paperwork as required.Work with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving departmental performance objectives.About You Education:College diploma in Automotive Technician is required.An Interprovincial Red Seal certification in the above trade is required. Experience:Minimum of 3-4 years' experience as an Automotive Technician.
