Keep reading to find out if this role is meant for you!What you'll be doing...We are currently hiring a Project Manager to support a financial system implementation project which will transform our financial planning and analysis processes. You may also be asked to work on other projects concurrently. You are a seasoned project manager and will be responsible for the management and delivery of technology projects in accordance with deadlines, budget and complex funding constraints. You will work to deliver innovative technology to support BC Transit?s vision of being our rider?s best transportation solution.? BC Transit typically works with 3rd party vendors to implement solutions with us rather than developing our own software or solutions; this means working closely with stakeholders, procurement teams, and vendors. Throughout these stages, you will support the development of requirements, public procurement activities such as NRFPs, and implementation of solutions with vendors. Collaboration will be key to success, along with project facilitation, project documentation, communication and change management. ? Specifically, you will have the opportunity to: Collaborate closely with senior leaders in Finance and IT to understand their objectives and propose approaches to meet their needs. Negotiate priorities with diverse stakeholders and make recommendations to keep the project moving forward. Manage vendors and ensure BC Transit?s needs are clearly communicated and met. Manage technology projects by developing detailed project plans that include scope, cost, schedule and quality; perform risk analysis, determine resources, while overseeing communications and records management. ?What you might love about this role: The opportunity to practice diverse ways of working.
