Lenzin & Associates LLP is a local, well established CPA firm that is looking for an experienced Accountant who is seeking a long-term position to join our team. We are a small 10-person office with two partners located just north of downtown Calgary. This position is a great opportunity for those looking for growth and to be an integral part of moving the firm forward for continued success. Our practice is mainly tax focused and consists of tax planning and advice for owner-managed private businesses. You will be an important member of the team, taking ownership of your own work. *The Position* · Completion of compilation and review engagements · Preparation of financial statements and corporate tax returns from source documents · Review of compilation engagements prepared by staff · Review of personal tax returns prepared by staff · Preparation or review of various tax forms including T4s and T5s · Significant overtime starting in mid-March for six weeks during personal tax season *Skills and Experience Required* · Minimum of five years? experience in public accounting · CPA designation, or nearing completion of CPA designation · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Enthusiastic with a good work ethic · Ability to prioritize work · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Experience with tax and accounting software (Caseware and Taxprep would be an asset) *Why work for us?* · Significant opportunities for advancement as one partner approaches retirement · Generous compensation, commensurate with experience · Standard work week of 7.5 hours/day and flexible hours · Paid overtime · Friday afternoons off in the summer · Semi-annual bonuses · Group medical and dental insurance · Paid professional dues · Newly renovated office with separate work spaces · Paid underground parking If you are a qualified candidate, please apply with a brief cover letter and resume through Indeed.
