Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Urban area. Installation. Tasks: Inspect electrical and avionics systems. Install aircraft instruments. Ensure that the installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety. Repair and overhaul, modify, install and test aircraft electrical systems and equipment. Test electrical, electronic and instrument components. Troubleshoot communications, navigation, and autoflight equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, install and inspect aircraft systems and components. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (AME) - E. Aircraft experience: Small piston airplane. Small turboprops. Small jet airplane. Small piston helicopter. Small turbine helicopter. Medium turbine helicopter. Large turbine helicopters. Type of industry experience: Corporate aviation. General aviation. Repair and overhaul facility. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Tools.
