*Luna *is Tex-Mex fusion restaurant that has a capacity of over 90 guests. We are open 7 days a week from 11:30am- 9pm. We serve lunch and dinner as well as offer delivery and takeout whenever we are open. _*Bar management experience is an asset.*_ *Primary Duties and Responsibilities* * Lead the team in creating a culture of superior guest experience * Conduct training and development as well as performance management and employee coaching * Conduct daily pre-shift briefings with strong emphasis on continuous improvement * Strong organizational skills with ability to manage all aspects of service and ensuring timely completion of assigned work * Effectively creating and organizing weekly staff schedules * Provides genuine hospitable and personal service * Leading by example and maintaining a strong presence in the dining room * Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members and senior management * Provide administrative support for the restaurant and accounting team * Ensures all human resources policies and procedures are being followed * Varied work hours with ability for flexible shifts including late closing shifts with varied end times * Additional duties assigned as required *Qualification/Characteristics* * Post-secondary degree/diploma in hospitality or a food and beverage management program * Candidates must be a Canadian citizen or have an equivalent permits * Minimum 3 years of management experience in a fine dining hospitality environment * Strong interest in Cocktails * Strong business acumen * Exceptional interpersonal skills * Self motivated and determined to strive for excellence * Working knowledge of Mexican culture and cuisine an asset *Compensation* * Competitive base salary * Participation in gratuity sharing * Two weeks paid vacation per annum Only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: From $40,000.00 per year Schedule: * Day shift * Holidays * Monday to Friday * Night shift * Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: * Tips Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 ? 40 per week Additional pay: * Tips Benefits: * Dental care * Discounted or free food * Extended health care * Vision care Schedule: * Day shift * Every Weekend * Monday to Friday * Night shift * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Nanaimo, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person
