Better business bankers demonstrate good judgment in people, businesses and markets based on education, experience, "gut instincts" and "street smarts".Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Business Banking - National Agriculture Services, Merchant Solutions, Small Business Banking & Specialty Segments & UGO, the District Vice President, Agriculture British Columbia, is responsible for leading both sales and support staff, dedicated to servicing and growing mid-market relationships in British Columbia, with a dual focus on growing TD's market share while also managing our overall risk profile.Key accountabilities include:Oversee a group of 30+ individuals, including both sales and support staff, dedicated to servicing and growing mid-market relationships in British Columbia with a dual focus on growing TD's market share while also managing our overall risk profile.Work closely with the AVP Agriculture Credit to ensure the existing portfolio and new opportunities are in line with our Agriculture strategyWork with internal business partners (TD Canada Trust, TD Small Business Banking, TD Wealth, etc.) and external business partners (lawyers, accountants, realtors, etc.) to grow and strengthen TD's brand provide while providing value-added solutions and competitive credit structures that meet the needs of the customer while maintaining the bank's appetite for risk.Understand the impact of market and economic conditions that may affect the agriculture industry and organization.Developing strategies to improve geographic coverage, underrepresented segments, and product offeringsMaintain up to date industry knowledge of regulatory and or industry specific issues which vary across provinces. Proactively deal with accounts where risk to the Bank is deteriorating.Oversee strategies to attract, motivate and retain a highly qualified and diverse team to achieve business objectives.
