<p>Job Summary: <p>Under the direction of the Communications Manager to perform all video, audio, and photography productions; live streaming of live and virtual events; and maintain and support all board room equipment and functions.Major Duties: <p>1. Video Production <p>PRE-PRODUCTION Develop concepts for video production intended for the promotion of education at the Durham District School Board.<p> Keep abreast of current and upcoming trends in social media to ensure video content is up to date and relevant.<p> Coordinate and schedule personnel, technical elements and facilities according to timelines.<p> Consult staff regarding proposed video, audio, and animated productions in development of script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources, and set deadlines for video projects.<p> Work independently, as well as part of a team to complete deliverables.<p> Collaborate with schools, staff, and students to facilitate the creation of multimedia content.<p> Scout and select shoot locations.<p> Ensure content created supports equity and diversity initiatives.<p> Develop production schedules.<p> Coordinate with schools to ensure proper permissions are in place for on-screen students.<p> PRODUCTION Direct students and staff on camera.<p> Record audio in studio and on location for interviews, voice over, music pieces, and live performances.<p> Mix and master audio projects using Adobe Audition.<p> Organize content for effective presentation in productions.<p> Capture video footage using video cameras in a style best suited for the end product.<p> Operate teleprompters.<p> Select and operate appropriate lighting for in studio and on location shoots.<p> Operate Gimbal and Steadicam equipment.<p> Setup and use green screen for video shoots and edit using proper Chroma key techniques.<p> POST-PRODUCTION Use effective titles, descriptions, and tags for best search engine optimization.<p> Evaluate online video analytics.<p> Organize and edit raw video footage using Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects; generate titles and computer graphics; incorporate still or hard copy media; add music, sound effects and video effects and transitions between segments.<p> Prepare and convert video/graphic/audio elements to suitable formats for use with specific presentation software (must be knowledgeable of interactive multi-media principles and formats).<p> Create digital signage for use on various monitors throughout the education center and schools.<p> Create new graphics and graphical elements using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to be incorporated in multimedia productions.<p> Create and develop animated video content for promotion, training, and internal and external communication.<p> Work with the Creative Services team to obtain necessary graphical elements for use in video production.<p> Select and purchase stock imagery and graphics to enhance productions with approval.<p> Colour correct and grade footage.<p> UAV (DRONE) Fly and operate UAV while ensuring all laws are followed.<p> Maintain and ensure the equipment is in good working condition and all necessary software updates are made.<p> Coordinate with NavCanada for flight permissions where necessary. Where appropriate, file SFOCs (Special Flight Operating Certificate).<p> Develop proper UAV safety protocols and flight plans for all flights.<p> Co-ordinate with staff and surrounding bystanders to ensure awareness and safety of staff/students/public.<p> Capture video and images for content creation or for facility inspections. <p>EQUIPMENT Maintain audio and video equipment.<p> Responsible for researching and recommending audio and- LocationWhitby, ON
