<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Primary responsibilities:<br />? Design automated machinery and tooling for robotic applications<br />? Perform preliminary engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to machine and tool designs<br />? Plan, organize and manage projects from concept through to final customer acceptance<br />? Review drawings for accuracy, material selection, proper machining techniques, finishes, hardness, etc.</p><ul><li>. Support manufacturing and quality stages of production to resolve and rectify issues and technical challenges<br />? Complete design revisions and engineering change orders<br />? Create and maintain concise documentation and drawings including concept sketches, detail & assembly drawings, and bills of materials<br />? Effective troubleshooting and ability to communicate efficiently regarding problems that may arise during assembly and final testing.<br />? Facilitating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.<br />? Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.<br><br>Qualifications Required:<br />? University Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline complemented by 3+ years experience in Automation tooling<br />? Fully competent with the use of SOLIDWORKS is a must<br />? Thorough knowledge and experience with the sizing and application of components for pneumatic and hydraulic systems in addition to good understanding of circuit logic.<br />? Understanding of applications for Servo systems and electrical devices (i.e., sensors, switches, position transducers, visions system etc.)<br />? Competent knowledge of GD&T with excellent thorough knowledge of all drafting principles<br />? Good understanding of materials & properties, manufacturing processes and techniques in a machine shop environment<br />? Must be capable of taking direction to design tooling from sketches or verbal concepts<br />? Computer literate; capable of working with MS Office<br />? Capable of working in a high-pressure environment with a strong sense of urgency, and effectively meet competing demands and priorities<br />? Effective communication, both verbal and written</li></ul></div></div>- LocationAyr, ON
