*Bakery Supervisor* Goldsmith?s Farm Market & Bakery is looking for a qualified, and enthusiastic team player to oversee day to day operations of our retail bakery. We are a year-round on-farm specialty grocery store known for our quality produce, quality grocery products, scratch pies, and delicious treats. *Job Responsibilities and Duties * * Oversee day to day operations of retail bakery activities in the market such as inventory, quality of ingredients, quality of products, scheduling, and department cleanliness. * trains personnel and/ or monitors training of personnel by other staff members * liaison with owners regarding possible new products, processes or ideas * responsibility to ensure retail bakery is opened and closed properly by bakery staff (i.e. staff trained on protocols, coverage for absences in place) * set daily priorities for bakery staff (by writing task lists and communicating to staff) * maintains standards of product, cleanliness, and safe food production * makes, and or ensures bakery products are made according to established recipes * interacts with customers in a friendly positive manner, answers questions, sells products, and resolves customer complaints or concerns *Job Requirements * * ability to work well with others * no formal education is necessary, but is preferred * High level of organizational skills, as well as ability to prioritize, make decisions and pivot where necessary * Math skills quired to scale recipes, convert from imperial to metric, measure ingredients * Physical stamina to carry out duties while standing on your feet all day, including lifting up to 50lbs * Able to bake to a high standard, and understand production processes * Be well organized, able to prioritize, and work well under reasonable pressure * Able to follow health and safety regulations * Able to work at least one day each weekend, as well as holidays as required in order to ensure smooth function of the bakery * Able to work in a warm bakery environment Salary range will be from $22-$25 per hour, depending on education and experience.
