POSITION: Teacher - General - temporary<p> ASSIGNMENT: Elementary (K-7)<p> FTE: 0.2<p> LOCATION: Wells/Barkerville Elementary School<p> EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2024 until June 30, 2025 <p> Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:<p> Training Specialization: Elementary Education with specialization at the primary/intermediate level<p> Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching at the primary/intermediate level<p> A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.<p> Additional Qualifications: Not required for this posting<p> Other: <p> <p> <p> Understanding of small rural school practices<p> Exemplary experience as a classroom teacher<p> Willingness to work as a member of the school-base team<p> Willingness to work as part of a team in the development and implementation of the School Growth Plan<p> Willingness to support whole school environmental initiatives<p> Commitment to school-wide Positive Behaviour Support program as a form of addressing behaviour in the classroom and the school as a whole<p> Knowledge and skill in current practices in assessment for learning<p> Schedule as arranged by school principal<p> <p> The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
